Last week... The third week in Bangkok¡ My job was still new to me and I had to keep learning and doing at the same time and questioning myself if I was on the right track all the time¡ I felt so insecure and frustrated that I kept refilling myself a lot of coffee and chocolate just hope to keep myself going and a little bit cheer-up¡
I've got to give credit to my friend / colleague who popped out the tour itinerary to Hua Hin & Cha-Am in the mid of the week¡ Exactly what I needed, a place to escape from my work and get close to nature, solitude, and peace of mind¡ An ¡°escape¡± turned out to be a hope¡ And hope turned out to be impetus¡ I completed my working task by Friday and had everything ready for the weekend two-day off-the-work¡
Three hours later after chatting sleeping on air-conditioned bus from Bangkok to Hua Hin, as we were at the so-called nostalgic destination, many a fine memory came to mind ---- calm, serene and San Diego like Hua Hin¡ Back in the good old days when traffic moved lazily along unpaved roads, the charming fishing village of Hua Hin nevertheless attracted royalty, debutants and aristocratic weekenders¡ And nowadays, its leisure lifestyle isn¡¯t much different than it used to be¡ Although modernization has apparently made its way here, which is good, the village remains quiet ---- no hawkers yelling out massage service, no beach umbrellas and no big city commotions, especially when compared with Pattaya, where is well known of white sandy beach and ladyboy¡

Lovers stroll hand-in-hand along the shore, eat home-made Italian ice-cream or seafood and hit the community market at sunset: these are Hua Hin¡¯s norms. I did exactly the above EXCEPT the first one¡ :D

After playing with tide, we paid a visit to the Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort (former Royal Railway Hotel), their scaped gardens, which lies right beside the beach¡

The southern railway reached Hua Hin in 1911¡ The teak platform is of a colonial-style architecture adorned with wood-carvings in maroon and white¡ I was told it's the best railway station in Thailand... hehe~~~, so so la...

Thirty kilometers before Hua Hin lies the stretch of white-sand beach at Cha-Am. In Cha-Am we paid a visit to the Marukathaiyawan Palace, a golden teak royal dwelling built during the reign of King Raa the VI, with the influence of European-stlye architecture. From my point of view, the grounds of this majestic place are not as stunning as we Chinese Imperial Palace and Summer Palace¡ It dose present its picturesque side, however¡

I felt exhausted when I came back to Bangkok... It's like I was finally home... -:) And this Monday, I turned in my analysis to my reporting coworker and received a positive feedback... Cheers~~~ *_*
